Soy wax is a natural wax made from soybeans and is a popular alternative to traditional paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum. Soy wax is a renewable resource, biodegradable, and burns cleaner than paraffin wax.

To make soy wax candles, you will need soy wax flakes, a wick, a container, fragrance oil, and color dye (optional). Here are the steps to make soy wax candles:

1. Melt the soy wax flakes in a double boiler or a microwave-safe container. Heat the wax until it reaches a temperature of 185-195°F.

2. While the wax is melting, prepare your container by placing the wick in the center and securing it with a wick sticker or hot glue.

3. Once the wax has melted, remove it from the heat source and add your fragrance oil and color dye (if desired). Stir the mixture thoroughly.

4. Pour the wax into the prepared container, making sure the wick is centered. Leave a small amount of wax in the pot to top off the candle later.

5. Let the candle cool and harden for several hours or overnight.

6. Once the candle has hardened, top it off with the remaining wax and trim the wick to about ¼ inch.

7. Your soy wax candle is now ready to use
